Aesthetic text styles

Aesthetic text is about mood more than readability: wide letters, soft spacing, hearts and brackets. The styles at the top are the ones people use for aesthetic bios, playlist names and captions.

Making an aesthetic bio

Pick one style and repeat it, rather than mixing five. A name in vaporwave or small caps, one line of plain text, and a few symbols as dividers reads calmer than every line in a different font. Spaced and fullwidth text is long, so check your bio limit: Instagram allows 150 characters and TikTok 80.

A note on readability

Fullwidth and spaced letters break words apart for screen readers, which may read "S, t, a, y" letter by letter. Keep aesthetic text for the decorative part and write what matters in plain text.
